Well, it seems Kanye West has reversed his stance on Jewish people. He was struck with clarity while watching Jonah Hill in “21 Jump Street.” Who knew that a comedy movie could change someone’s deep-seated hatred toward an entire group of people? Maybe next, he’ll start liking cats after watching “The Aristocats.”
The Anti-Defamation League reported that nearly 60 anti-Semitic incidents last year involved direct references to the West, which is quite alarming.
In the end, maybe we can all learn something from “21 Jump Street” and other movies that show how people can grow to understand each other through challenging encounters. Maybe Kanye can watch “Fiddler on the Roof” next and continue to expand his horizons. And who knows, we’ll all start liking something we previously hated after watching a good movie.
